I am Hannushkapreeya Devindran from SJK(T) Methodist Malim Nawar. Participating in the Saraswathy English Challenge (SEC) marked a significant turning point in my life. This experience was not only transformative but also profoundly motivating.

My journey with SEC began with a blend of excitement and nervousness. As a student from a small Tamil school with just 30 students, competing on a larger stage was daunting. I was determined to show that greatness is not limited by the size of one's school or background. This resolve fuelled my efforts and kept me focused throughout the competition.​ The SEC competition was structured in stages. Each stage demanded immense dedication and perseverance. The rigorous process required me to refine my public speaking skills and develop the ability to convey ideas clearly and persuasively.

Reaching the grand finale was a monumental achievement in itself. When I was announced as the 1st Runner-Up, the moment felt surreal. This award was not only a personal victory but also a significant achievement for my school and community. It demonstrated that with hard work and determination, even the most challenging odds can be overcome.​ The SEC experience provided invaluable insights and a major boost in confidence. Brief yet impactful interactions with mentors like Madam Vimala and other judges were particularly inspiring. Their guidance and encouragement were crucial in refining my public speaking skills and enhancing my self-belief. The advice and feedback I received helped me understand the nuances of effective communication and left a lasting impact.

A particularly memorable moment occurred during a brief encounter with Dato' Praba. In just a few seconds, he shared a powerful message about perseverance and the importance of striving for excellence regardless of one’s starting point. His words resonated deeply with me, reinforcing my resolve to aim high and pursue my dreams with unwavering determination.​ The confidence and skills gained from SEC had a profound impact on my subsequent achievements. After the competition, I emerged as the Champion in the District Level Public Speaking competition and secured a place in the Top 5 at the State Level. These successes were a direct result of the self-belief and skills nurtured during the SEC experience.

Inspired by SEC, I explored other competitions and activities. I participated in the Thirumurai competition, where I won 1st place and advanced to the State Level. My involvement in Science Innovation and Tamil Speaking contests further broadened my perspectives and opened new opportunities for personal and academic growth.​ Reflecting on my journey with the Saraswathy English Challenge, I am filled with gratitude and a renewed sense of purpose. The competition not only highlighted my abilities but also ignited a passion for excellence that transcends boundaries. The support from the SEC community and the invaluable experiences gained have motivated me to continue striving for greatness. If you have a dream, no matter how challenging it seems, pursue it with unwavering determination and belief. The SEC experience has proven that with effort and persistence, extraordinary accomplishments are within reach.
